WHEN planning my son’s 3rd birthday party this spring, I was reminded of the prep that went into my wedding 5 years ago. On the one hand that seems silly, your kids will have plenty of birthdays to celebrate…but on the other, if we think back to the excitement we felt as kids on the eve of our birthdays, there really are only a handful or so that are filled with this much anticipation, glee and wonder.
…AND of course, we MUST capture every moment on video and film. Adding this on to the endless list of host responsibilities, however, inevitably results in us missing half the festivities. Not to mention the logistical difficulty involved in holding the cake, singing “Happy Birthday”, all while snapping away with our pro SLRs.
