St Pauls Cathedral Photowalk

Photowalk with some great friends from Liverpool St to St Pauls cathedral and down to the river Thames.

Join us on the next Photowalk: Wednesday 27/11 in the Tower Bridge area.

Meet with a great bunch of budding photographers on Thursday evening and enjoyed some of the London landmarks on a Photowalk from the City. It was cold with a bit of drizzle in the air, we set out from Liverpool St for St Pauls cathedral where we set a 10min challenge to photograph signs before meeting up to shoot some long exposures by the black phone box on Canon Road EC2.
A number of the group had not shot long exposures before so I guided them in the best setting to use.
This was my best shot of St Pauls.

long exposure photography

We moved down to the banks of the River Thames where it was bitterly cold with fine rain.
We held out for some good shots using higher ISO settings and long exposures to flatten the water.

After spending time beside the Thames we took the walk across the Millennium bridge to the Southbank stopping off to take in the breathtaking London skyline from the Tate Modern.
After having a chat with the other photographers out for the evening, we finished up walking east along the Southbank to London Bridge station for the train home.

Join us on the next Photowalk on Wednesday 27/11. Meet at Liverpool St station at 6 PM for a walk to the Tower of London. From there onto TowerBridge for more long exposure shots of the traffic on the bridge and finishing on the south side of the river at City Hall.
Join us if you can.
